Hi, My needs are the following and I need one last clarification before I buy this app. It seems to be very good!
I already have classroom audio recording from my class. I want to be able to make presentations using this audio as base instead of using the ipad microphone. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for you help!
Regards.

Hi, if you have a recording already, then you can record an Explain Everything presentation, export it to a MP4 movie, and then join the external audio file with the EE movie in iMovie (you can use there separate video and audio tracks).
We are thinking about an audio import feature (audio from the iPad music library) - but this would have to be done in such a way as not to make the app too complicated.
What is your specific scenario? Do you want to record a single 'slide' in EE, or multiple slides? How long is your audio recording? Maybe I can suggest another solution to this.
Currently each slide in EE has its own recorded audio file, and all of these are stitched together during export. Therefore import of an external audio file would need to have it 'cut' into multiple parts, depending on the length of the slides. If the slides are not yet ready though, it presents another set of challenges, complicating the app.

My audio recording is for about an hr. So it would have to be done with multiple slides. I do not possess an ipad currently and planning to purchase one. So I do not know how to make the solution with the iMovie work. Some help there would be appreciated.
Also one more question: What would he the visual quality of the slides stored? Would it retain the clarity if it is projected on a big screen?
Thanks!

You can check out a review of iMovie for iPad here: www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/apple-imovie-for-ipad-2/I thought that you had a Mac too - then the iMovie editing could be done there. However, if you'll have only an iPad, you will be able to use the iMovie for iPad. The way to join audio and video would be to first record the hour-long video in Explain Everything, export it to an MP4 movie file, then run iMovie and first import the video track, and then the audio track. Then you can play the whole iMovie project via a VGA or HDMI cable on a big screen. The quality will be quite good, since Explain Everything outputs native 1024x768 resolution movies.
