i tried recording motion for 1 puppet.. Pause, rewind, turn off recording in track editor. I then tried recording motion for a different puppet.. Looked like it was going to work during recording but crashed when I pushed pause.. I'm running ios4 beta 2.
Is there a way to group puppets together? I think it would be cool if parts of puppets were parented to a main puppet. I could have legs, arms and mouth that move, rotate and scale as one yet can also be independently controlled.. I think predefined pivot or anchor points for children (movable puppet pieces) could be set up in the puppet making module of the app..
Nice app.. I'm going to have fun with this..

Hi,
yes, you can group puppets together via triple-tapping. Move one puppet in front on another and then tap three times. They should stick together. To ungroup them you can tap three times again.
Of course this works just in a simple way now - it's geared mainly towards creating a puppet with a talking head (one puppet has multiple frames, the other - the body). So you cannot use this function to create realistically looking legs - at least not for a while ;-) We are working on it.
As for crashes - we found that PhotoPuppet actually does work quite good in iOS beta 3. On beta 2 it worked maybe a little bit worse - but anyway, please try to restart the iPad and/or close all the other applications in the "switch bar" at the bottom.

Oh yes, and if you send me an email at photopuppet [at] morriscooke.com, I'll send you a beta copy of the full manual - this might clear a few things.
We are preparing the manual currently and will release it next week (up to now you had the in-app help and video tutorials on our website).
